ACPI Driver for Kabylake Platform Products

Introduction

This article provides details on the ACPIMSFT0101 device, which corresponds to the TPM module that does not have a driver. The package installs the ACPI Driver supporting the Windows Operating system for Kabylake platform products. Intel advises that only Skylake processors can support Windows 7 on these products.

Troubleshooting

Windows 7 Compatibility

Unfortunately, there is no W7 32-bit driver for this device. If you switch to W7 64-bit, you can install the provided hotfix. It is only compatible with W7 64-bit.

Clearing TPM

To clear your TPM, follow these steps:

1. Go to Start > Settings > Update & Security > Windows Security > Device security
2. Under Security processor, select Security processor details.

Installing ACPI Driver for 64-bit Windows 7

If you switch to 64-bit Windows 7, you can install the provided hotfix:

1. Download and extract the provided Microsoft hotfix.
2. Run the hotfix to install the ACPI driver.
